Mario Farnbacher

Mario Farnbacher, born on May 14, 1992, is a German race car driver with a successful career spanning various international racing series. Motorsport runs in his blood, following in the footsteps of his father and brother, Dominik Farnbacher. He began his racing journey at the young age of six in karting, quickly achieving victories and titles in Bavaria.

Farnbacher's career highlights include winning the IMSA SportsCar Championship GTD class in both 2019 and 2020, and securing the GT World Challenge America Pro-Am title in 2022. He has also achieved class victories in prestigious endurance races such as the Petit Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Mario started competing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship in 2014. In 2025, Farnbacher is driving the #78 GTD Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 for Forte Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship alongside Misha Goikhberg.

Throughout his career, Farnbacher has competed in series such as the ADAC GT Masters, Nürburgring Endurance Series, International GT Open, and the American Le Mans Series. He has driven for various teams, including Team Seattle, Alex Job Racing, Riley Motorsports, Meyer Shank Racing, Magnus Racing, Compass Racing, Gradient Racing and Heart of Racing.
