Juan Cruz Alvarez

Juan Cruz Álvarez, born on November 20, 1985, is a former Argentinian race car driver who has transitioned into a DJ. Álvarez began his racing career in his native Argentina, competing in Formula Renault Argentina in 2001 and 2002. His talent quickly became apparent, and in 2003, he won the World Series Lights championship driving for the Meycom team. This success propelled him into the World Series by Nissan in 2004, where he continued to impress.

In 2005, Álvarez took a significant step forward, participating in the inaugural GP2 Series season with Campos Racing. While he only scored 4.5 points that year, the experience gained at this level was invaluable. After a year away from racing in 2006, he returned to Argentina in 2007 and competed in the Top Race V6 championship, continuing in the series into 2008. He also participated in TC2000 and the International GT Open, showcasing his versatility across different racing formats. In 2014, he participated in the Porsche Sports Cup and also drove a McLaren MP4 12-C in the Blancpain series.

Álvarez continued to race until 2019, when he decided to retire from professional racing and pursue a career as a DJ. Throughout his career, he secured over 10 victories in Top Race V6, with a notable win in the "Carrera del Año" in 2009.
