David Askew

David Askew is an American racing driver and businessman, born on September 14, 1963. He is the founder of DXDT Racing, a professional sports car team based in Statesville, North Carolina, which he established in 2014. Askew himself has actively participated in various racing series, primarily focusing on sports car racing.

Askew's racing background includes competing in series such as the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, and SRO America's GT World Challenge America. His team, DXDT Racing, has primarily raced in the GT World Challenge America as a Mercedes AMG Customer Racing team. In 2018, Askew competed in six of ten double-headers in the Sprint and SprintX divisions, driving Mercedes AMG GT3 machinery. 2019 saw him competing in Blancpain GT World Challenge America, running his first full season in the series paired with Ryan Dalziel.
