Conor James Daly, born December 15, 1991, is an American professional racing driver with a diverse background in open-wheel and stock car racing. A second-generation racer, Daly is the son of former Formula One and IndyCar driver Derek Daly. He currently competes full-time in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 76 Chevrolet for Juncos Hollinger Racing. Daly's career began in karting at the age of 10, and he quickly progressed through the ranks, winning the World Karting Association Grand Nationals in 2006. He transitioned to car racing in 2007 and secured the Skip Barber National Series title in 2008, defeating Josef Newgarden.
Daly's open-wheel journey has taken him through various series, including Star Mazda (now USF Pro 2000), where he won the 2010 title with Juncos Racing, Indy Lights, GP3 Series, and GP2 Series. He has also tested an F1 car for Force India. In 2024, he achieved his first podium with Juncos Hollinger Racing, marking a significant milestone in his IndyCar career. Beyond IndyCar, Daly has made occasional appearances in NASCAR, competing in the Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series.
Daly was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 14, but he hasn't let that slow him down. He is an advocate for Type 1 Diabetes awareness and is the only known U.S. professional racing driver who competes full-time with T1D. Outside of racing, Daly is known for his engaging personality and diverse interests. He hosts the Speed Street podcast for Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Dirty Mo Media, showcasing his passion for racing and his ability to connect with fans. He has also appeared on reality television shows like The Amazing Race and American Ninja Warrior, further demonstrating his adventurous spirit.
