Casper Elgaard

Casper Elgaard, born on April 5, 1978, is a Danish auto racing driver with a career spanning several prominent racing series. Elgaard has made multiple appearances at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 2001, demonstrating his endurance racing prowess. In 2008, he secured second place in the LMP2 class at Le Mans while driving a Porsche RS Spyder for Team Essex, and he also claimed a class victory at the 1000 km of Monza the same year. His success continued at Le Mans in 2009, where he won the LMP2 class again with Team Essex.

Beyond Le Mans, Elgaard has a strong record in touring car racing. He notably won the Danish Touring Car Championship (DTC) four times, with consecutive titles from 2004 to 2006 and another win in the series' final season in 2010. Later in his career, he added two Danish Thundersport Championship titles in 2014 and 2015 to his achievements. Elgaard's early racing career included a runner-up finish in the 1998 Danish Formula Ford series and participation in the Formula Renault Euro Cup in 1999. In 2020, he competed in the inaugural TCR Denmark Touring Car Series with his own team, Massive Motorsport, after racing in the TCR Scandinavia Touring Car Championship in 2019.
