Alain Ferté

Alain Ferté, born on October 8, 1955, is a French professional racing driver with a career spanning several decades. He is the older brother of Michel Ferté, who was also a racing driver. Ferté's early career was marked by success in French motorsport, winning the French Formula Renault Championship in 1979 and the French Formula Three Championship in 1980.

While his five seasons in Formula 3000 (1985-1989) didn't yield the results he hoped for, Ferté found success in sports car racing. He won the British Empire Trophy in 1990 and achieved three victories in the DTM (German Touring Car Championship) in 1989. He has also competed in numerous GT races, driving iconic cars such as the Porsche 911 GT1, Toyota MR2-based SARD MC8R, and Maserati MC12 GT1.

In recent years, Ferté has remained active in the racing world as a driver coach and runs a racing school. He continues to participate in events like the Fun Cup, V de V series, Michelin Le Mans Cup, GT4 European Series and the Dubai 24 Hours, demonstrating his enduring passion for motorsport.
