Tävlingsöversikt

Robert Doyle is an American racing driver who, at 65 years old (born November 20, 1959), brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to the sport. Doyle's racing journey began later in life after spending many years involved in Motocross. In 2010, he participated in his first professional automobile race and has since competed in the Rolex 24 at Daytona on four occasions. His most significant achievement to date was winning the GT class at the six-hour race at Watkins Glen in 2010, alongside Spencer Pumpelly and Andy Lally. Doyle drove the first hour, and his teammates successfully completed the race.

Transitioning to prototype racing with the introduction of the LMP3 class, Doyle found a new passion. Currently, he participates in the Prototype Cup Germany. Despite being the oldest driver in the series, he is committed to improving and achieving his goals. Doyle's approach to racing extends beyond just driving. He maintains a rigorous fitness regime, a healthy diet with the help of his wife, and uses a simulator to hone his skills. He views racing not just as a hobby but as a complete lifestyle.

Outside of racing, Doyle is a successful car dealer. He also has a personal connection to the sport through his nephew, a talented engineer and driver whom he hopes to race alongside in the Prototype Cup Germany in the future. Doyle's racing record includes starts in various events from 2009-2013, 2015, and 2022-2024, including a single class win at one point in his career.
