Marcus Armstrong

Marcus Armstrong, born on July 29, 2000, is a New Zealand racing driver making waves in the IndyCar Series. Currently driving the No. 66 Honda for Meyer Shank Racing, Armstrong's journey to the pinnacle of motorsport has been marked by dedication and success. Beginning his racing career in karting at the age of 10, he quickly rose through the ranks, securing multiple national championships in New Zealand before venturing to Europe in 2015.

Armstrong's talent shone brightly in the junior formulae. He clinched the Italian Formula 4 Championship in 2017 and finished as runner-up in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship in the same year. Progressing to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, he finished 5th in 2018, and in 2019, he became the runner-up in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. From 2020 to 2022, Armstrong competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, earning victories and podiums before transitioning to IndyCar in 2023.

In his debut IndyCar season, Armstrong impressed by winning the Rookie of the Year title, showcasing his adaptability and skill on road and street courses. Expanding his racing duties in 2024 with Chip Ganassi Racing, he's set to compete in a full season, including oval tracks.
