Jamie Spence

Jamie Spence, born on July 11, 1973, is a British racing driver with a career highlighted by early successes in Formula racing. Spence secured the British Formula Ford Championship in 1992, showcasing his talent early on. The following year, in 1993, he continued his winning form by clinching the British Formula Three National Class Championship.

Spence's career also includes participation in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). In 1996, he competed in the final two rounds of the championship at Brands Hatch, driving a Nissan Primera for Rouse Sport. While he didn't achieve significant results in those races, finishing 11th in the first and retiring from the second, his involvement in the BTCC added another dimension to his racing experience.

Beyond his actual races, Spence was slated to drive for Andy Rouse's Toyota Corolla project in 1998, which ultimately did not come to fruition. A similar situation occurred in 2005 with Gary Ayles' Alfa Romeo 156 entry. These unfulfilled opportunities indicate Spence's continued presence and interest in touring car racing.
