Adam Wilcox

Adam Wilcox is a British racing driver with a career spanning multiple disciplines, from karting to GT racing. Born on June 26, 1976, Wilcox began racing karts at the age of eight and demonstrated early talent by winning multiple karting championships, including the FIA European Karting Championship in 1994. Transitioning to car racing in 1995, he quickly made his mark in Formula Renault, finishing fourth in his debut season. He further honed his skills in Formula Vauxhall, finishing as runner-up in 1996, and in the European Formula Opel Series, where he also secured the vice-champion title in 1997 while supporting the Formula 1 World Championship.

Wilcox's career progressed into Formula 3, and he later tested Formula 3000 cars. In 2000, he shifted his focus to GT-style racing, winning the Lotus Sport Elise Championship. His success extended to the international stage, with a victory in the 2001 Suzuka GTC 1000k event and a sixth-place finish in the 2002 GT300 Japanese GT Championship driving a Porsche GT3R. A significant achievement came in 2004 when he won the British GTC Championship in a Ferrari 360.

Throughout his career, Wilcox has been a consistent front-runner in the British GT Championship, securing numerous pole positions, fastest laps, and podium finishes in the GT3 category. He was also nominated for the prestigious Autosport McLaren Formula 1 young driver of the year award, marking him as a promising talent in his early years. Wilcox is a member of the British Racing Drivers Club. In more recent years he has raced alongside Phil Burton in the British GT Championship, marking over 10 years in the series and driving a Ferrari 458 GT3 and Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
