Ukyo Sasahara, born on April 24, 1996, in Numata City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, is a distinguished Japanese racing driver renowned for his versatility across various motorsport disciplines. He began his racing career at the age of seven, starting in karting, which laid the foundation for his future in competitive racing.

In 2019, Sasahara clinched the Formula 3 Asia Championship title and the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan Championship, showcasing his exceptional talent and adaptability. The following year, he made his debut in the Super Formula series with Team Mugen, stepping in for teammate Juri Vips. His performance in Super Formula has been commendable, with notable achievements including a podium finish in the 2021 season.

In 2023, Sasahara transitioned to Toyota, joining TGR Team Deloitte TOM'S in the Super GT GT500 class, where he partnered with Giuliano Alesi. His move to Toyota marked a significant milestone in his career, reflecting his growing prominence in Japanese motorsport.
