Mateo Villagomez is an Ecuadorian racing driver quickly making a name for himself in the world of motorsports. Born on July 29, 2002, in Quito, Ecuador, the 22-year-old has experience in various racing disciplines, showcasing his versatility and potential. Villagomez began his racing career in karting, achieving notable success with two national karting championships in Ecuador and excelling in the Colombian karting scene. He also participated in ROK kart events in the USA, representing Ecuador.

Transitioning to single-seaters, Villagomez competed in the French Formula 4 series in 2022. He further expanded his racing portfolio by participating in the Prototype Cup Germany in 2022 with Rinaldi Racing, demonstrating his adaptability to different types of racing vehicles. In 2024, he showcased his GT racing skills in the GT4 European Series and the Championnat de France FFSA GT4, driving an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Notably, he secured 1st place in the GT4 Silver class in the Championnat de France FFSA GT4 in 2024.

Most recently, in 2025, Villagomez joined Volante Rosso Motorsport to compete in the Bathurst 12 Hour race, marking his debut at the iconic Mount Panorama circuit. He is also set to participate in the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge with Volante Rosso Motorsport. He will go into the record books as the first Ecuadorian to start an endurance race at Mount Panorama. With a Silver FIA driver categorization, Villagomez is an Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy graduate who continues to build his experience and chase success in the GT racing world.
