Joshua Buchan, born on January 22, 1995, is an Australian racing driver making waves in the TCR Australia Touring Car Series. Hailing from Lithgow, New South Wales, and currently residing in Glenmore Park, Buchan's journey in motorsport began relatively late, as he started karting just before his 16th birthday in 2011. Despite the late start, his natural talent quickly shone through.
Buchan's career gained significant momentum when he transitioned to Formula Ford racing. In 2018, he dominated the New South Wales Formula Ford Championship, winning an impressive 17 out of 19 races. The following year, he secured a memorable victory at the Formula Ford 50th Anniversary event at Mount Panorama, earning him a scholarship to compete in the Australian Formula 3 championship, where he finished second overall.
In 2021, Buchan signed with HMO Customer Racing to compete in the TCR Australia Touring Car Series. He has since become a prominent figure in the series, showcasing his skills behind the wheel of a Hyundai. His consistent performance led him to a championship victory in the 2023 TCR Australia Touring Car Series. Demonstrating his commitment to the team, Buchan signed a two-year deal in 2024 to continue driving for HMO Customer Racing. In between his racing commitments, Buchan is a professional driving instructor.
