Jakob Bergmeister, born on June 9, 2005, is a rising German racing driver making waves in the world of motorsports. Hailing from Solingen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Bergmeister comes from a family deeply rooted in racing, with his grandfather, Willi Bergmeister, a former European Touring Car Championship runner-up, and his father Tim and uncle Jörg both successful GT racers. Jörg, in particular, has an impressive record as a Porsche works driver with multiple Le Mans starts and GT championship victories in the USA.
Jakob began his racing journey in karts, where he quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. In 2021, he clinched the German Shifterkart Cup, showcasing his talent and determination. Transitioning to car racing, Bergmeister made his Formula 4 debut in the Formula 4 United Arab Emirates championship with PHM Racing. In 2023, he was crowned the Euroformula Open Rookie Champion with 11 wins and finished 5th overall with 3 podiums.
Currently, Bergmeister is competing in the Formula Regional Middle East series and is associated with Team Motopark. With a string of impressive results and a strong racing pedigree, Jakob Bergmeister is undoubtedly a talent to watch as he continues to climb the motorsports ladder.
