Thiago Camilo Palmieri, born on September 20, 1984, is a prominent Brazilian racing driver. His career is deeply rooted in motorsport, with his father, Jose 'Bel' Camillo, being a former racer. Thiago has dedicated himself to touring car racing, specifically in the Stock Car Brasil series, since 2003, driving for Chevrolet. He has achieved significant success, finishing as runner-up in 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2019. He is also a three-time winner of the prestigious Corrida do Milhão.
Camilo's journey in racing began early, participating in karting events in São Paulo and clinching regional titles in 2000. In 2001, he moved to Stock Car Light, achieving third place in both seasons he competed. Notably, in November 2004, he secured his first Stock Car victory at Interlagos, becoming the youngest driver to win in the category at just 20 years old.
Throughout his Stock Car Brasil career, Camilo has accumulated impressive statistics, including over 300 starts, 37 wins, 27 pole positions and 36 fastest laps. After seven seasons with the Vogel team, he joined RCM Motorsport in 2011.
