Steven Burgess is a British racing driver with a diverse motorsport background. Hailing from Leicester, but calling Nottingham his home town, Burgess has achieved success in various racing disciplines. Outside of racing, he is a recycling company director who enjoys running, shooting, and skiing.
Burgess's racing career began in 1998 when he became the British Quad Champion. He continued his success in the British Superlight Championship from 2003 to 2006. However, he is most recognized for his achievements in the Radical Championship, where he consistently performed well, securing runner-up positions in 2015, 2017 and 2018. He ultimately won the Radical Championship in both 2014 and 2016. He has primarily raced Radicals throughout his career, running with RAW Motorsport.
More recently, Burgess has participated in the Britcar Endurance Championship. In 2021, he and Ben Dimmack moved their Radical RXC to the GT Cup. Burgess explained the decision to switch to GT Cup by stating that there seemed to be a lack of cars in their Britcar class, and they hoped to gain more competitive racing in the GT Cup.
