Steve Brown is a versatile racing driver from the United Kingdom, with experience ranging from sim racing to real-world track challenges. Initially known for his successful YouTube channel "SuperGT," where he shared his virtual racing exploits, Brown transitioned his skills to real racing, debuting in the Radical SR1 Cup at Donington Park in September 2022. He also participated in MX-5s and Fun Cup races with Beetles in the same year, marking his first forays into motorsports.
Brown's racing experience extends to karting, where he competed in the Club100 series from 2008 to 2020, winning the elite sprint championship in 2016. More recently, he has been involved in the NLS (Nürburgring Endurance Series) with a BMW M4 GT4 and aims to participate in the Nürburgring 24-hour race.
Before transitioning to circuit racing, Brown competed in stage rallies across Europe with his Nissan Micra kit car and later switched to rallycross in 2019. He acknowledges the similarities between sim racing and real racing, noting the importance of concentration and pressure management skills learned in the virtual world. However, he also appreciates the unique thrills and challenges of real-world racing, including speed, physical sensations, and the absence of a "restart" button.
