Sergey Chukanov is a former Ukrainian racing driver, born on April 29, 1988. He began his racing journey in karting before transitioning to single-seaters in 2006, joining Formula Renault NEC with Lukoil Racing. In his debut season, he secured 15th place in the championship. He then competed in Formula 1600 Russia in 2007, followed by a move to the ATS Formel 3 Cup in 2008 and 2009. During his second year in the latter series, driving for Stromos Art-Line, he clinched the trophy drivers' championship, winning an impressive 14 out of 18 races.
After a break from racing, Chukanov made a comeback in 2013 in the Superstars GT series, where he won one of the two sprint races entered while driving a Ferrari 458 for Team Ukraine. The same year proved to be a turning point as he entered the Ferrari Challenge Europe, representing Ferrari Ukraina. He won the series, securing three race wins and several podium finishes. In 2014, he participated in a single race in the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone, emerging victorious in the GTC category. 2015 saw him competing in two races in the Blancpain GT and Endurance series, though he did not finish either.
Throughout his career, Chukanov demonstrated his versatility across different racing disciplines, from single-seaters to GT racing. His notable achievements include winning the 2009 ATS Formel 3 Trophy and the 2013 Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli, marking him as a successful Ukrainian racing driver on the European stage.
