Sarah Cattaneo, born March 28, 1986, is an American racing driver hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona. Cattaneo's racing journey began after a successful equestrian career, where she was a five-time U.S. Equestrian Federation medal winner and won over one hundred championships. Her transition to motorsports started with attending the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in 2006, sparking a passion that led her to professional racing.
Cattaneo has made significant strides in sports car racing, particularly in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. She debuted in the series in 2008 and quickly gained recognition. Driving for RSR Motorsports, she secured her first career pole position at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2010, marking the first time a female driver achieved this in the ST class. The 2011 season was a highlight, with a victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park and another pole at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, positioning her as a championship contender. Before her success in GRAND-AM, Cattaneo earned two NASA Arizona PTC Class championships in 2007 and 2008.
