Romain Iannetta, born on November 27, 1979, is a French racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports. Iannetta's career spans various disciplines, including GT racing, endurance racing, and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. He hails from Villecresnes, France.
Iannetta has participated in prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he competed in 2005-2007, 2009 and 2012, achieving a best finish of 23rd in 2006. Most recently, he has been seen competing in the GT4 European Series, driving an Audi R8 LMS GT4 Evo. He also competes part-time in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro for Marko Stipp Motorsport in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. His EuroNASCAR career started in 2012, and he has two wins, 13 podiums and one pole position. In 2015, he finished 3rd in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
Before his career in racing, Iannetta worked as part of the automotive stunt team CINE CASCADE and was awarded a World Stunt Award for his work on "The Bourne Identity" in 2003. In addition to racing, Iannetta is an instructor at the flight school PRO'PULSION and has worked with several auto manufacturers. He is also the nephew of Alain Iannetta, who participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times.
