Patrick Kujala, born on May 15, 1996, is a Finnish professional racing driver with a diverse background, including Spanish heritage. Kujala began his motorsport journey at a young age, starting in karting at the age of four and winning his first championship at nine. Progressing through the ranks, he entered single-seaters in 2011, competing in the French F4 Championship. He finished fifth overall in his debut season, securing a race victory at Spa-Francorchamps. He further honed his skills in Formula Renault Eurocup 2.0 and Formula Renault 2.0 Alps in 2012, achieving the Juniors' championship title in the latter.
Kujala's career has spanned various racing disciplines, including the GP3 Series, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and GT racing. He achieved significant success in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, winning the European Championship in 2015 and both the European and World titles in 2016. In 2018, he secured a prestigious victory in the 24 Hours of Spa in the Am class. Transitioning to GT racing, Kujala has competed in the Blancpain GT Series, Porsche Carrera Cup Italia (where he finished third in 2019), and GT World Challenge Europe.
More recently, Kujala has participated in the IMSA Prototype Challenge and Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America in 2022. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated versatility and adaptability across different racing formats, making him a respected competitor in the motorsport world. In 2024, Kujala showcased his talent by securing a brilliant pole position at Barcelona in the GT World Challenge Europe.
