Ómar Julián Leal Covelli, commonly known as Julián Leal, is a professional racing driver from Colombia, born on May 11, 1990, in Bucaramanga. Leal's career began in 2006 in the Formula Renault 2.0 PanamGP series, where he secured two podium finishes and finished ninth overall. The following year, he transitioned to Europe, competing in the Euroseries 3000 championship.
In 2008, Leal continued in Euroseries 3000, achieving four podiums and finishing sixth in the standings. A significant milestone came in September 2008 when he won the Italian Formula 3000 championship at Misano. Progressing through the ranks, Leal participated in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series, and in 2010, he also competed in the Auto GP championship, where he secured a victory at the Circuito de Navarra.
