Olivier Pernaut, born on July 9, 1981, is a versatile French racing driver and team manager with a career spanning over two decades. Known for his adaptability, Pernaut has competed in various disciplines, including GT racing, Fun Cup, Trophée Andros, and more recently, rally-raid events like the Dakar Rally. He is the Team Manager of Orhes Racing, a French-based team founded in 2006 that participates in modern and historic sportscar championships across Europe, as well as builds and restores race cars.
Pernaut's career highlights include winning the FFSA GT3 Championship in 2015 driving a Porsche 997 GT3 R. He has also secured multiple championships in the Ligier JS Cup France, including in 2023 and 2024. A seasoned competitor in the Trophée Andros, a French ice racing series, Pernaut has participated for over 20 years, sharing nine seasons with his father, Jean-Pierre Pernaut, a prominent television journalist. This experience further ignited his passion for motorsports.
In recent years, Pernaut has expanded his racing endeavors to include rally-raid events. His first Dakar Rally was in 2024. Alongside his friend and co-driver Benjamin Rivière, Pernaut aimed to complete the challenging race and gain experience in navigation and rally-raid specifics, with the long-term ambition of entering multiple vehicles under the Orhes Racing banner.
