Oliver Rowland, born on August 10, 1992, is a British racing driver currently competing for Nissan in the Formula E series. Rowland's career began in karting at the age of seven, and he quickly progressed through various series in the United Kingdom. He made his single-seater debut in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Winter Series. In 2011, he finished second in the British Formula Renault Championship and won the Formula Renault UK Finals Series. Rowland also secured the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award in 2011, recognizing him as a promising young talent.
Rowland's career continued to ascend as he moved to Formula Renault 3.5, where he finished fourth in 2013 and clinched the championship title in 2015. That same year he also participated in seven GP2 races. He entered Formula 1 in 2017 as a development driver for Renault F1 Team and later joined Williams Martini Racing as their official Junior Driver in 2018. Rowland's Formula E debut came in 2015 with Mahindra Racing, and he later joined Nissan e.dams full-time in 2018.
Currently driving for Nissan in Formula E, Rowland rejoined the team for the 2023-2024 season. He achieved a remarkable season, securing multiple podium finishes, pole positions, and race wins, ultimately finishing fourth in the championship standings. As of 2025, Rowland continues to drive for Nissan, aiming to build upon his previous success and compete for the Formula E title.
