Nicolas Lapierre, born on April 2, 1984, is a French racing driver known for his achievements in endurance racing. Lapierre began his career in karting in 1993 and transitioned to single-seaters, competing in French Formula Renault and Formula Three. He later moved to GP2, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
Lapierre found considerable success in sports car racing, becoming a prominent figure in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). He was a factory driver for Toyota, contributing to multiple race wins. A highlight of his career includes four LMP2 class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Lapierre also has two wins at the 12 Hours of Sebring and won the Macau Grand Prix in 2003. Beyond his driving career, Lapierre has also taken on team principal roles. He was a staple of the Alpine team until his retirement in 2024.
