Markus Pommer, born on January 27, 1991, is a German racing driver with a diverse career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Pommer began his racing journey in karting in 1999, honing his skills until 2006 and securing the Southern German ADAC Kart Cup – ICA Junior title in 2004. Transitioning to formula racing in 2007, he competed in the Formula BMW ADAC for Mücke Motorsport, finishing tenth in the championship.
Pommer's career progressed through various series, including the ADAC Formel Masters, German Formula Three Championship, FIA Formula Two Championship, and Porsche Supercup. In German Formula Three, he consistently performed well, securing third place in 2009 and becoming the highest-placed driver with a Mercedes engine in both 2009 and 2010. He later ventured into GT racing, participating in the Blancpain GT Series and the European Le Mans Series.
More recently, Pommer has found success in the Prototype Cup Germany, partnering with Gary Hauser for Racing Experience. Together, they clinched the championship title in 2023 with dominant performances, including multiple wins and podium finishes.
