Lasse Sorensen, born on December 7, 1996, is a professional racing driver from Denmark with a diverse background in motorsports. Sorensen's career began early, achieving success in karting from a young age. He transitioned to single-seater racing in 2012, competing in Formula Ford Denmark, where he finished as runner-up in 2013. In 2014, he won the French F4 Championship. He further honed his skills in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 series.
In 2016, Sorensen shifted gears to touring car racing, joining the MASCOT Danish Thundersport Championship. His talent quickly shone through, and he clinched the championship title in 2017, demonstrating his adaptability and competitive edge against seasoned drivers like Jan Magnussen.
More recently, Sorensen has made a mark in stock car racing, currently competing in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 66 Chevrolet Camaro for DF1 Racing. He competes in both the Elite 1 and Elite 2 classes and is the 2019 Elite 2 Champion. His debut in the series was remarkable, as he secured a win in his very first race.
