Juan Diego Piedrahita Cortes, born in Bogotá, Colombia on July 27, 1992, is a Colombian racing driver with a career spanning various open-wheel racing series. Piedrahita's passion for racing ignited at the young age of seven when he began karting in Mexico. His transition to auto racing began in 2009, competing in the LATAM Challenge Series, where he secured two podium finishes and finished seventh overall, also earning second place in the rookie standings.
In 2010, Piedrahita participated in the Star Mazda Championship with Team Apex, achieving one top-5 and four top-10 finishes in eight races. The following year, he joined JDC MotorSports in the U.S. F2000 National Championship, part of the Road to Indy program, finishing seventh in the championship with two podiums at the oval races in Indianapolis and Milwaukee. He continued in Star Mazda (later Pro Mazda) in 2012 and 2013 with JDC MotorSports, achieving a career-best second-place finish in Toronto in 2012.
Piedrahita advanced to Indy Lights in 2014 with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. More recently, he has been involved with the Indy Racing Experience, providing two-seater rides to customers. Piedrahita once stated his childhood racing hero was fellow Colombian, and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, Juan Pablo Montoya.
