Jonathan Thomas is a South African racing driver with a passion for motorsport that ignited early in life, despite no family involvement in the racing world. His career spans numerous classes, demonstrating versatility and a deep-seated love for competition. Currently, he actively participates in the South African Endurance Championship, showcasing his commitment to the sport.
Beyond endurance racing, Jonathan's interests extend to various facets of motorsport. He has experience in karting, even representing South Africa in the Rotax Max World Finals in Sarno, Italy, in 2019. More recently, he participated in the SAES: Nine-Hours of Kyalami, driving an Adjust4Sleep/Rico Barlow Racing Nova Proto NP02, powered by a Mustang V8 motor.
Outside of professional racing, Jonathan is involved in property development. He is also an avid car enthusiast with a collection that includes a 1981 Toyota Corolla with a JZ Turbo setup and a Nissan GTR Black Edition. He's also working on a project car, a 2007 SEAT LEON FR, modified for quarter-mile racing. Jonathan is part of CTSC (Cape Town Supercar Club) and WCPC (Western Cape Performance Club), enjoying the camaraderie and shared passion within the car community.
