Jonathan Cochet, born on January 4, 1977, is a French racing driver with a career spanning various racing disciplines. He began racing after his karting career concluded in 1995. Cochet demonstrated his talent early on, winning the Championnat de France Formule Renault in 1997 and the French Formula Three Championship in 2000.
While he didn't reach Formula 1 as a full-time racer, he gained valuable experience as a test driver for Prost Grand Prix in 2001 and later for the Renault Formula One team in 2006, also serving as a demonstration driver for Renault F1. Since his single-seater career concluded, Cochet has been heavily involved in endurance racing, participating in events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In recent years, Cochet has been active in various series, including the V de V Endurance Series, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and the Ultimate Cup Series. In 2022, he combined his work as a driver coach with racing in the Roscar GT challenge and in 2023, he participated in the Ultimate GT Cup. Beyond racing, Cochet also runs a sport management and sponsorship business and is a regular competitor in historic racing events. To date, he has participated in 178 race starts, achieving 17 wins, 45 podium finishes, 20 pole positions, and 16 fastest laps.
