Jerry Kaufman is an American racing driver with experience in several sports car series. He began racing in 2015 and quickly made a name for himself in the BMW CCA Club Racing, earning the Rookie of the Year and JP National Champion titles in 2013, followed by the IP National Champion title in 2015. In 2016, Kaufman stepped up to the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, racing the #81 BimmerWorld ST car. The following year, he joined The Racers Group (TRG) in the Pirelli World Challenge, driving the #09 TRG Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the SprintX GTS class.
Kaufman teamed up with Kyle Tilley, a driver he met through an SCCA endurance race team. In 2015, they won a 13-hour endurance race at Virginia International Raceway. Their partnership continued in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge with BimmerWorld in 2016 and in the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge SprintX GTS class with TRG, where they finished second in the championship. Kaufman has also participated in American Endurance Racing, driving BMWs prepared by BimmerWorld and maintained by Jr III Racing.
Kaufman, based out of Mooresville, North Carolina, co-owns Kaufman Racing. Beyond his driving talents, he also works as a racing instructor. His racing accomplishments showcase his dedication and skill in the world of sports car racing.
