Dirk Adorf, born on July 10, 1969, is a seasoned German racing driver with a diverse career spanning several decades. Best known for his endurance racing exploits, Adorf began his career in smaller cars, quickly making a name for himself in the Nürburgring VLN German Endurance Trophy, where he secured victories in 1992, 1996, and 1997. This success propelled him into the German Super Tourenwagen Cup (STW) in 1995 and later again in 1999 with Opel. After three seasons in the 2000cc touring car series, he transitioned to the V8Star Series in 2002, competing until 2003.
Following the V8Star Series, Adorf continued to showcase his adaptability and skill, entering a Lamborghini Gallardo. Later, his team acquired a FIA GT3-spec Ford GT, with which Adorf surprisingly secured pole position for the 24h race. Throughout his career, Adorf has participated in 79 races, securing 5 wins and 14 podium finishes, demonstrating a consistent ability to compete at a high level. In 2024, he finished 3rd in the ADAC Ravenol 24h Nürburgring in the AT3 class.
