Dane Cameron, born on October 18, 1988, is a highly accomplished American racing driver hailing from Glen Ellen, California. A three-time IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Champion, Cameron has proven his versatility and skill across various racing disciplines. His career began with karting before transitioning to cars in 2005, where he immediately found success, winning the Formula Russell title as a rookie. He continued to climb the ranks, securing a Team USA Scholarship and winning the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy in Europe.
Cameron made a significant shift to sports car racing in 2009, competing in the Rolex Series GT class. He quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with, showcasing his talent in both GT and Prototype categories. His championship wins include the 2014 IMSA GTD title, and the overall IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2016 and 2019. In recent years, Cameron has been a factory driver for Porsche, competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and returning to full-time IMSA competition in 2024 with Porsche Penske Motorsport. His recent achievements include a victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
