Christian Klien, born on February 7, 1983, in Hohenems, Austria, is a racing driver with a diverse motorsport career spanning from Formula One to GT racing. Klien's journey began in karting before transitioning to Formula BMW, where he achieved considerable success, including multiple race wins and a third-place finish in the ADAC Championship in 2001.
His Formula One debut came in 2004 with Jaguar Racing, sharing the track with Mark Webber. Following Jaguar's acquisition by Red Bull, Klien continued with the newly formed Red Bull Racing, sharing a race seat with Vitantonio Liuzzi. He remained with Red Bull until 2006. After F1, Klien participated in other racing series, including GT Open, Blancpain GT Series, and the European Le Mans Series. He also had a stint as a test driver for Honda and BMW Sauber. In 2010, he returned to Formula 1 as a test driver for HRT, even participating in a couple of races.
Beyond racing, Klien has also contributed to motorsport as a commentator and analyst. He became an expert for ServusTV's Formula One coverage starting in 2021. He achieved success in GT racing, securing the GT Open Pro-Am Vice Championship in 2020. He also finished 3rd at the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 2008.
