Akhil Rabindra, born on May 22, 1996, is a prominent Indian racing driver. He began his motorsports journey in national go-karting championships and the Formula LGB Swift in India, securing the JK Tyres MMS Rotax Max National Rookie Championship in 2011. That same year, he was the vice-champion of the Amaron National Karting Challenge and champion of the Red Bull Kart Fight. Rabindra made his racing debut in 2012 in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship in the LGB Formula-Swift.
Throughout his career, Rabindra has achieved several milestones, including winning the Toyota Etios Colombo Night Race in 2013 and earning the title of Vice Champion in the Toyota Etios Motor Racing (EMR) that same year. In 2014, he received the FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Award. He has competed in championships like the BRDC Formula 4 Championship in the UK and the British GT Championship. In 2017, he was selected for the McLaren GT Driver Academy and in 2019, he raced in the GT4 European Series, driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
More recently, Rabindra continued with the Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy and drove for Racing Spirit of Léman in the GT4 European Series, finishing 8th in the Silver driver's category in 2022. Beyond racing, Akhil is a safety ambassador for the Sean Edwards Foundation.
