Mauro Calamia

Mauro Calamia, born on January 20, 1992, is a Swiss racing driver with a diverse career in motorsport. Calamia began his racing journey in karting at the age of 12, primarily competing in his native Switzerland. Progressing through the ranks, he reached the KF2 category by 2008. In 2009, he transitioned to single-seaters, joining the Formula Lista Junior series with Daltec Racing. He secured a podium finish at Monza and finished tenth overall. In 2010, he remained in the series, moving to Torino Motorsport, finishing eleventh in the championship.

In 2011, Calamia stepped up to the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps series, returning to Daltec Racing. Consistently scoring points, he finished tenth in the championship. He also participated in a round of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC series. Calamia's career extends beyond single-seaters, encompassing GT racing. He was the Maserati Trofeo World Series Champion in 2014 and achieved third place at the Abu Dhabi 12 Hours in 2016. He also competed in the European GT4 series in 2016 and Italian GT in 2015. Currently holding an FIA Silver driver categorization, Calamia continues to be an active competitor in GT racing, participating in series such as the GT2 European Series.
