Christophe Tinseau, born on December 18, 1969, is a French former racing driver from Orléans. Tinseau's career highlights include finishing as the runner-up in the 1994 French Formula 3 Championship and winning the final race of the 1996 Formula 3000 season at Hockenheim. He began his professional racing career in French Formula Renault in 1991 before moving to French Formula Three in 1992. In 1997, he competed in Indy Lights, securing a podium finish at Circuit Trois-Rivières.
Tinseau transitioned to sports car racing in 1998, making his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut with DAMS/Panoz Motorsports. Between 2000 and 2002, he drove the Cadillac Northstar LMP at Le Mans, achieving a fifth-place class finish in 2001. He was also involved in the development of the Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Q9, the first hybrid endurance car, in 1998. In 2009, Tinseau finished as vice-champion in the Le Mans Series and won the Asian Le Mans Series title. He also participated in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2010, earning one win and five podiums.
Tinseau participated in thirteen 24 Hours of Le Mans races between 1998 and 2016. His best result was a second-place finish in the LMP2 class in 2012. In more recent years, Tinseau has founded a racing school focused on ice racing and has developed the Tinseau Cup, a touring car series, as part of his racing experience programs.
