Marius Zug, born on February 6, 2003, is a German racing driver making his mark in the world of GT racing. Hailing from Munich, Bavaria, he currently resides in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. Zug began his motorsport journey in karting, achieving significant success by becoming the Junior champion in the ADAC Kart Masters in 2017. Although he tested Formula 4 cars, he chose to continue karting for another year before transitioning to sports car racing.

Zug's GT debut came in 2019 when he joined RN Vision STS in the GT4 European Series, piloting a BMW M4 GT4. Partnering with Gabriele Piana, he secured multiple victories in the Pro-Am Cup, including wins at Monza, Misano, Zandvoort, and the Nürburgring. The duo finished as Pro-Am Cup vice-champions, and Zug also earned the Junior champion title. He continued to build his GT experience in the Italian GT Championship, claiming his first pole position and victory in 2020 with teammate Stefano Comandini. In 2022, Zug competed in both the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) and the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with Attempto Racing, driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. In 2023 he joined Winward Racing, driving alongside Miklas Born and David Schumacher in the Gold Cup class.

Beyond racing, Zug enjoys Simracing, golf, tennis, and cooking. He admires Juan Manuel Fangio as a role model. His younger sister, Lilly Zug, is also a racing driver. With a solid foundation in karting and a rapidly developing GT career, Marius Zug is a rising talent to watch in the world of motorsport.
