By 1980, he was winning races like the Daytona 125cc GP, followed by participation in the 250cc class. He later transitioned to kart racing, achieving significant success, including a second-place national points finish in WKA. Brown also competed in SuperKarts, reaching speeds of 160 mph at Daytona.
