Rick Kelly, born on January 17, 1983, is a highly accomplished Australian racing driver known for his consistency and success in the Supercars Championship. Hailing from Mildura, Victoria, Kelly's career took off quickly after karting and Formula Ford, winning the Australian Drivers Championship in Formula Holden in 2001. That same year, he debuted in the Supercars Championship. He earned the Rookie of the Year title in 2002 and soon after secured his first Bathurst 1000 victory in 2003, partnering with Greg Murphy. The duo repeated their triumph at Mount Panorama in 2004.

In 2006, driving for the HSV Dealer Team, Kelly clinched the V8 Supercar Championship in controversial circumstances. Despite winning only one race that season, his consistent high finishes throughout the year gave him the edge. From 2013, Kelly drove Nissan Altimas before switching to Ford Mustangs in 2020. Alongside his brother Todd, Rick established Kelly Racing in 2009, expanding it into a four-car operation. Rick Kelly retired from Supercars at the end of 2020 after a 19-year career.
