Nicolas Saelens is a Belgian racing driver who has made a name for himself in the GT racing scene. Born on October 19, 1981, Saelens began his racing career relatively late, in 2018, but quickly demonstrated his talent and competitiveness.
Saelens initially competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Belcar Series in Belgium. He partnered with Dylan Derdaele and won the national champion endurance in the GT class of the Belcar Endurance Championship. However, he gained significant recognition in the Fanatec GT2 European Series. In his debut season in 2022, driving for PK Carsport alongside Stienes Longin, he clinched the Pro-Am title after a tight championship battle. For the 2023 season, Saelens joined True Racing, piloting a KTM X-BOW GT2 with teammate Stefan Rosina. The duo achieved considerable success, including an outright win at the Red Bull Ring.
