Byron Defoor

Byron DeFoor is an American racing driver and philanthropist with a passion for motorsports and supporting Alzheimer's research. He is the founder of the Chattanooga Motorcar Festival, an event designed to bring a European-style festival to his hometown while benefiting The Neuroscience Center at CHI Memorial in Chattanooga. DeFoor's racing career includes participation in events such as the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

DeFoor's racing activities are closely tied to his philanthropic efforts. He co-founded Fifty Plus Racing with AC/DC front man Brian Johnson to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research through the Highway to Help Foundation. In 2015, DeFoor was involved in a serious crash during the Roar Before the Rolex 24, but he emerged with minor injuries and a renewed commitment to his cause.

Beyond his racing endeavors, DeFoor is a Chattanooga-based developer and the founder of Grace Healthcare. He continues to be an active participant in the racing community, including taking part in events at the Pace Grand Prix at the Bend.
