Roman De Angelis

Roman De Angelis, born on February 15, 2001, is a rising star in the world of motorsports. This Canadian racing driver currently showcases his talent in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, representing the Heart of Racing Team. De Angelis's journey began in karting at the age of nine, quickly progressing to claim the 2014 Canadian National Karting Championship at just 13 years old. In 2016, he transitioned to F1600, earning Rookie of the Year honors with an impressive second-place finish.

De Angelis made a significant move to Porsche 911 GT3 racing, joining Mark Motors Racing in the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Canada in 2017. His debut season was a resounding success, as he secured the GT3 Cup Gold Class Canadian Championship, becoming the youngest champion in the series' history at 16. Continuing his ascent, 2019 proved to be a landmark year. His partnership with Ross Gunn in 2021 yielded their first podium at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and a victory at the Detroit Grand Prix.
