Coureur Mikel AZCONA

Mikel Azcona, born on June 25, 1996, is a Spanish auto racing driver celebrated for his achievements in touring car racing. Azcona began his motorsport journey at the young age of 6, participating in karting championships in Spain. Recognizing a potential professional future in touring cars, he transitioned from karts in 2012, entering the CER Ferodo Sport Challenge with a Renault Clio.

Azcona's career highlights include winning the TCR Europe Touring Car Series championship in both 2018 and 2021. His success continued on the world stage as he clinched the WTCR (World Touring Car Cup) championship in 2022. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated versatility, competing in various series such as the Renault Clio Cup Spain, where he secured his first professional victory, and the Audi Sport TT Cup, where he finished as runner-up in 2017.

As of 2025, Azcona continues to compete at a high level, participating in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup. His career stats showcase his talent and consistency, with 18 wins, 42 podiums, 14 pole positions, and 20 fastest laps in 97 starts. He currently races for BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse.
