Will Davison

Will Davison, born on August 30, 1982, is a highly accomplished Australian professional racing driver. Currently piloting the No. 17 Ford Mustang GT for Dick Johnson Racing in the Repco Supercars Championship, Davison's career spans over two decades, marking him as an elder statesman in the field. His journey began in karts at the age of 10, where he quickly demonstrated his talent by securing multiple state and national karting titles. Progressing through the ranks, Davison won the 2001 Australian Formula Ford Championship, setting the stage for his move to Europe. There, he competed in Formula Renault and British Formula 3, even landing a test driver role with the Minardi Formula 1 team in 2004.

Davison's full-time Supercars career commenced in 2005, swiftly establishing his capabilities with a top-10 finish on debut at the Australian Grand Prix. Throughout his Supercars career, Davison has achieved legendary status with 22 race wins, 79 podiums, and 28 pole positions. Memorable victories include the Bathurst 1000 in 2009 and 2016, the Clipsal 500, Gold Coast 600, and Homebush in 2012. In 2009, he earned the prestigious Barry Sheene Medal and finished as runner-up in the Driver's Championship.

Returning to Dick Johnson Racing in 2021, Davison continues to be a prominent figure in Supercars. Off the track, he maintains a rigorous fitness regime, participating in triathlons and cycling. Davison comes from a renowned motorsport family. His grandfather Lex Davison won the Australian Grand Prix four times and also won the 1957 Australian Drivers' Championship.
