Kristian Poulsen

Kristian Poulsen, born on November 18, 1975, is a Danish auto racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing disciplines. Poulsen's career began in karting and rallying, even participating in the World Rally Championship in 1995. Transitioning to touring cars in 2007, he initially competed in the Danish Touringcar Championship. He made his debut in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2008. In 2009, he secured a full-season WTCC drive with Liqui Moly Team Engstler, piloting a BMW 320si alongside team owner Franz Engstler. Notably, he clinched the LMP2 class victory at the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Team Essex Porsche RS Spyder with Emmanuel Collard and Casper Elgaard.

Poulsen's achievements extend beyond touring cars. In 2022, he won the Michelin Le Mans Cup in GT3. He also boasts two class wins at the Le Mans 24 Hours, one in LMP2 (2009) and another in GTE (2014). More recently, in 2025, he and his brother Roland announced a GT Open program with their BMW M4 GT3, entered by Poulsen Motorsport in the Am class. Kristian expressed enthusiasm for returning to sprint races in a competitive environment.

Currently 49 years old, Kristian continues to be an active figure in motorsport. His extensive experience includes racing in series like ADAC GT Masters, the 24H Series, and TCR Germany. He has driven various cars, including BMWs, Aston Martins, and Hondas.
