Eric Powell is an American racing driver with over 16 years of experience across various racing disciplines. Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Powell began his racing career in karting before transitioning to stock cars and then road racing in 2006. He is a former Jim Russell Scholarship winner and has experience in open-wheel racing, touring cars (including the Grand-Am Koni Challenge series), and GT cars.
In 2016, Powell joined TechSport Racing for the Pirelli World Challenge TCA season, piloting a Mazda MX-5. More recently, he has been competing in the Pirelli GT4 America series, driving a Nissan Z GT4 for Techsport Racing. In 2024, he partnered with Elivan Goulart and Colin Harrison in the Pro-Am category.
Beyond his driving career, Eric is also an accomplished driver coach and instructor, currently serving as the lead driver and coach for a six-car team in Pirelli World Challenge, and he also works on various driving, consulting, and development projects. He also has experience as a full-time stunt driver for Walt Disney World. He is active in NASA competition, winning three national championships and being selected for Mazda's "Mazda Road to 24 Shootout" for two consecutive years.
