Emil Christian Gjerdrum, a promising young racing driver hailing from Norway, is making waves in the GT racing scene. Born on July 18, 2002, Gjerdrum's motorsport journey began with karting, where he represented Norway in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy in 2020 and 2021, competing against drivers from 50 other countries.
In 2022, Gjerdrum transitioned to car racing, participating in multiple classes, including the ADAC Tourenwagen Junior Cup in Germany, GT4 in Racing NM, B-Zero, and Formel Ford in Norway. He also secured a silver medal in the Formel Basic Norwegian Championship. The 2023 season saw him competing in European championships with the BWT Mücke Motorsport team driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4.
In 2024, at just 16 years old, Emil signed with the German team CV Performance Group, continuing to race with a Mercedes-AMG GT4. He started the year in the GT4 Winter Series, which included 12 races in Portugal and Spain. Gjerdrum's talent and race pace have been recognized, marking him as one of the youngest drivers competing at a high level in European GT racing.
