Christina Nielsen

Christina Nielsen, born on January 10, 1992, is a celebrated Danish racing driver. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to win a WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series title, marking a significant milestone in North American motorsports. The daughter of Lars-Erik Nielsen, a racer who competed in prestigious events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Christina's passion for racing ignited at age 13 when she first experienced karting.

Nielsen's career progressed through various racing categories, including Formula Ford Denmark, ADAC Formel Masters, and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, before finding her niche in sports car racing. Her breakthrough came in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, where she secured the GTD class title in both 2016 and 2017. These victories, achieved with Scuderia Corsa and teammate Alessandro Balzan, cemented her place in racing history and showcased her exceptional talent and determination.
