Cameron Shields

Cameron Shields, born on December 15, 2000, is an Australian racing driver making a name for himself in the world of motorsport. Hailing from Toowoomba, Queensland, Shields' passion for racing ignited at a young age. He began his racing journey on two wheels in motocross before transitioning to go-karts, quickly demonstrating his natural talent and competitive spirit.

Shields' career boasts an impressive list of achievements. In 2016, he became the youngest driver to win the Australian Formula 3 National Class Championship. He was also named CAMS Australian Young Driver of the Year in 2017 and secured the CAMS Foundation Rising Star Scholarship in the same year. Further successes include finishing 3rd in the Australian Formula 4 Championship in 2017 and 2nd in the Australian Formula 3 Premier Series Championship in 2018. Venturing into American open-wheel racing, Shields captured the Carb Night Classic Race win at Indianapolis in 2019, marking the first USF2000 race win for Newman Wachs Racing. In the same year, he received the Most Spirited Driver and Best Over-Take awards in the USF2000 series. As of 2023, he competes in the IMSA Sportscar Championship with Performance Tech Motorsports.
